I received the following email requesting agape/palanca on behalf of Costa Rica Tres Dias #1 and #2. I invite each of you to include these cursillo weekends in your personal prayers and the prayers of as many others as you can contact. I also request that you attempt to have both Cursillo weekends included in your church's Prayers of the People! I have sent an acknowledgement and response from the Diocese of Oklahoma for each of the weekends.

Greetings in the name of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

With the help of the Holy Spirit, Costa Rica Tres Dias ( CRTD ) is an emerging community sponsored by Northern Illinois Tres Dias. We are preparing for CRTD # 1, Enclosed are agape/palanca letters that you may use on your weekends. We would also like to request prayer and agape/palanca letter support for Costa Rica Tres Dias # 1 for both the men and the women. The dates for the men’s Spanish weekend is August 3 thru 6 and the women’s Spanish weekend is August 10 thru the 13. Please address the letters to Costa Rica Tres Dias # 1.

If possible, we would like to have everything in by July 27th because the team from the United States will be leaving July 30th to go down for training for the weekend and will remain there until after the women’s weekend is completed.

Also as long as I have your attention, I would also request an agape/palanca letter for Statesville, Illinois Kairos # 2 for the weekend of September 21.

National Cursillo Seminar Oct. 12th-15th

The National Episcopal Cursillo Seminar is to be held in Kansas City this year October 12th through the 15th. Oklahoma will have a large delegation going, as one of out own, Dion Crider, is seeking to be elected to the National Committee.

New Palanca Coordinator

Biel Johnson, Church of the Resurrection, OKC, has agreed to serve as the new Palanca Coordinator for the Cursillo movement in the diocese of Oklahoma. Biel will coordinate the exchange of palanca with other diocese, sending greetings on our behalf along with prayers for their weekends, as well as receiving palanca from other diocese for our own weekends.
